Class of 1990 Reunion Time and habit have passed and changed since last we
in May 2010. Killian were in touch. Indeed, I had almost forgoten my brief
Boland is standing sojourn in the world of sweetened thet (adverising),
on the extreme left,
front row which came and went quickly. Since then, I made the
brave/rash decision to tread the boards professionally,
having completed a degree in theatre studies.
During that ime, I enjoyed some creaive successes
although inancial security eluded me perennially.
Eventually, in 2005, ater a run in the Gaiety during
the summer months, I decided to hang my mantle and
pursue something with a litle more stability. At this
juncture, I entered the heady world of estate agency,
just as it nose-dived into irredeemable oblivion. I
managed to stay aloat for a couple of years before it
became pointless so, at that stage, I quesioned my
direcion, once again. Ater much soul searching and
reconciling of conlicts, I decided on pursuing a career
in pedagogy. However, relecing on the trials that I
might have presented some teachers with years ago, I
aimed my vocaion at a future in the Primary Classroom
– hoping for a more gentle engagement. I have been
compleing my training over in Dorchester since last
September and I look forward to moving home to
Ireland in a few weeks.
