Art in Gonzaga: An Appraisal
One of the events marking Gonzaga’s jubilee was an art exhibiion held in March 2001. This
exhibiion now serves as a relecion of the state of art as a subject in the college. It showed
the work of past pupils who had gone on to work in the visual arts either professionally or on
a personal basis. The spirit of the exhibiion was a celebraion of the school’s contribuion to
the visual arts. Among those represented were art teachers, architects, feature ilm makers,
documentary ilm makers, animated ilm makers. graphic designers, fashion designers, furniture
designers, photographers, painters, sculptors. There were over a hundred exhibits which cannot
