GONZAGA AT SIXTY: A WORK IN PROGRESS

After one year of music in UCD, I did
three in the College of Music studying the
Double Bass. I played on occasion with
the RTÉ Symphony Orchestra and with
numerous ensembles.
Later concentrated more on bass
guitar, playing with many groups: rock,
jazz, salsa. During ’95 to ’97 toured with
soul group The Commitments in twelve
countries.
Re-located to Seattle. There, I gradually
lost interest in the music business. Took
an acting class one evening and was sold!
Back to acting school in Seattle for a few
years. Developed technique and began
acting in theatre and independent ilm.
In 2005 I moved to New York City.
Earned my Theatre and Film Union cards
(Equity & Screen Actors Guild).
I am currently a Company member of
the Irish Repertory Theatre (off-broadway).
Recently appeared opposite John
Goodman in a pilot episode of Treme on
HBO.
I am now pursuing work with anyone
who will have me, Theatre, Film or TV.
Next up is the play Jekyll & Hyde for six
weeks at a theatre in Pennsylvania
